Vlog: Asia Pop Comic Con 2017

It was a comic con weekend! The Asia Pop Comic Con, to be specific. It was held at the SMX Convention Center in the MOA compound in Pasay City. Michael and I initially planned on going by ourselves, since it was a long weekend and Sloan wanted to go to Laguna for a quick vacation with his cousins. But there was an impending typhoon, and we didn't want Sloan to be away from us with the inclement weather and all, so the Laguna plan didn't push through.

As it turned out, it was all sunshine and warmth come Saturday lololol. Since Mike had to attend the comic con for work, we decided to push through with it and just bring Sloan with us. We were excited for him because we knew it was going to be fun, but a wee bit bummed for us because we wouldn't be able to check out the talks we wanted to attend and go at our own pace lol.

And that's exactly what happened! Of course, we'd go wherever Sloan wanted to go. I would let Mike go around by himself so he could work in peace, but I guess he'd feel guilty so he'd always be back in a jiffy haha.

It was worth it though, because, as expected, Sloan had a blast! He hopped from one display to another, and we did get him a few toys - some GI Joes, in particular. He's been playing with those toys nonstop since we got home, so at least hindi sayang ang pera hahaha. What was most memorable for him though would have to be wrestling matches. There was this group of Filipino entertainment wrestlers that put on a show. At first, Sloan was bothered by it, by then he quickly figured out that the wrestlers weren't exactly hurting each other, and started to enjoy it.

My favorite part would have to be the Netflix booth, because they totally went all out, as compared to the other attractions in there. They recreated the set of their popular shows like Stranger Things, The Defenders, and Riverdale. They also had fun giveaways like sunnies, stickers, temporary tattoos, caps, and shirts. Avail namin lahat yan, shemps!

Overall, it was a fun weekend for us. Right now we're relaxing at home, with Mike glued to the TV for the Game of Thrones finale, while Sloan and I are chilling in bed. It's the gym then the grocery for us later before we plunge back into reality tomorrow. I love me some quality time.
