what i remember about 2012

i was trying to think of what i remember best about 2012, and funnily, the one thing that stood out was how we had to buy a lot of shoes for sloan last year. not that we were being shopaholics - his dad may be a sneaker head but we're too practical to buy our kid way too many pairs especially at this stage. the thing is, sloan grew quite a lot this year and went through three different sizes within 2012.

case in point:

the photo at the left was taken sometime february 2012; the one at the center was around october; then photo at the right was during the holidays. like any parent would say, kids grow up so fast!

the photos below were taken summer, halloween, and christmas 2012. the red superga at the right was given by dai as birthday gift in 2011 and we had to wait about half a year before finally nagkasya kay sloan. tapos ganun-ganun lang, lumaki na naman yung paa. hindi makatarungan! chos :)

of course, the growing up wasn't just limited to the physical aspect - he marked several milestones too, like learning more words, communicating better, and eating by himself. it's such a pleasure watching his progress and though we have been parents for a couple of years already, mike and i are still in awe of the fact that we're raising a child and seemingly not messing it up haha :) we relish every single day with this little boy because we know it can go by like a blur.

kasi ganyan talaga ang buhay - mabilis. parang yung paglaki ng paa ni sloan :P
