staycationing at luxent hotel

this is way overdue but i would still like to write about our overnight stay at luxent hotel in timog avenue in quezon city because it was a pleasant one, and i thought i'd share for the benefit of those looking for reviews about the hotel.

it was mike who booked our overnight stay here last holy week - specifically black saturday - because there was a promo and rooms were at 50% off. we mainly wanted sloan to get to dip in a pool, and of course, the hotel breakfast buffet was also a big attraction.

we arrived a few minutes before the check-in time, to make time for the paper work, so we can go to our room at exactly 2 pm. i was pretty disappointed when we were told that we would have to wait a while as the room is being cleaned - i'm guessing the ones who occupied the room before us checked out late. but i didn't want to start our vacation on an irate mood so i let it pass and just played with sloan.

when we were finally in our room, i was pretty happy with how nice it looked. not bad for the price mike paid. it was spacious and clean. i wanted to just sink in the soft bed and also enjoy the nice view, but the pool awaits and sloan was already in his board shorts.

as we expected, the little boy enjoyed being in the pool tremendously. i swear he had a huge smile on his face the whole time he was in the water with his dad. it made for some nice photos.

the pool area was nice albeit small but it served its purpose so keri na lang. there was one pool for adults and one for kids. considering that it was summer, it easily got crowded.  what i really did not like was how smoking is allowed in the area. i wish it wasn't, especially since the kiddie pool is just right there, and unfortunately, some adults can be so inconsiderate.

we headed out to chili's along morato after that for an early dinner. while waiting for the food, mike took sloan out for a walk... then came back with little boy fast asleep in his arms :) napagod sa swimming! we just had our food packed then headed back to the hotel so mike and i can eat while sloan slept.

the next day, we were up bright and early for breakfast buffet. luxent's spread was average - a good selection of breads, cereals, salads, and savory dishes.

after resting in the uber comfy bed and watching a little tv, we headed back to the pool where sloan once again had the time of his life. he was so just so happy and excited it was cute! he got upset when we got him out of the water, but was immediately pacified when we plopped him down on the comfy bed and turned the air conditioning on high. add milk and cartoons to the mix and he was all good.

plus of course, his favorite thomas the train toy should be with him as well.

overall, it was a pleasant stay :) the place was nice and the staff was pleasant.

i actually wasn't expecting much from  luxent and was initially unexcited because the place was just too near where we live. but we had such fun that the overnight stay felt like a month's worth of r&r - and that's definitely a good thing.

  2. hello do you have a picture of the bathroom? I felt iffy when i saw pictures on the website and saw that the wall between the bath and the room is made of glass

    1. hi voldemoy! i took photos of the bathroom, but not of the area leading to it so that might not be of much help. i'm not sure how it is in the other rooms, but at the one we stayed at, there was a proper wall separating the bathroom from the rest of the room. definitely not glass :) hope that helps!
