trip to fuji (mart)

yes i went to fuji... fuji mart in timog that is :P i have been on the hunt for my beloved kewpie roasted sesame dressing for a while now and i finally found it there!

ang saya-saya ko :D this is my favorite salad dressing and you can make me eat loads of greens so long as meron nito. that says a lot, considering my relationship with vegetables. it also works as a dipping sauce for fried dishes.

i usually get my roasted sesame dressing from the weekend market in eastwood, but they haven't had any supply for a while now. thanks to google, i found a japanese grocery which is near our place where it's available. it was about twenty bucks more expensive than in eastwood, but not driving all the way to eastwood meant i saved on gas anyway, so keri na din.

it was raining hard the day i went and i had no umbrella. but nothing could keep me away from my favorite dressing in the world! the only drawback is that i was quite a mess after getting a bit drenched, so waley akong picture :)

fuji mart is pretty small, but it has a lot of japanese goodies you might want in your pantry. like japanese mayo and dipping sauces. there was a wide range of sauces available - for gyoza, for tempura, for sashimi, for sashimi, and more.

there were also sauces for cooking curry and other japanese dishes, but i've noticed that they don't come with english instructions. majirap namang hulaan kung paano lutuin ang mga ito based on the pictures, so hindi ko siya bet bilhin. sayang, mukha pa namang promising.

they also have a frozne goods section, and also available were japanese rice, nori sheets, green tea, and the ever popular cup noodle (i got some in my favorite flavor which is seafood).

and of course, meiji chocolates. love love love!

in case you wanna check it out, fuji mart is located in pasda mansion along timog avenue in quezon city.
