meet ayanna

one of the best things about working in radio was getting to know the listeners. most of them i was able to bond with over the phone, through the program request express, which i hosted with martin d. others, i was lucky enough to meet personally and maintain a friendship with even after i bid radio goodbye, and we are still in touch either through facebook or through texting.

among those listeners is a college student named ayanna. here's a photo of us taken in her school (the name of which i cannot recall at the moment), which was among the stops in our station's campus tour, circa 2008.

sinong lalaban sa lilac eyeshadow at nagtataray kong blush-on! hahaha :D pasensya na nagsusumigaw kong makeup, i came from a shoot that time and went straight to the event to host. (daming paliwanag!)

my past two birthdays have been extra special because of her thoughtful gifts. last year, it was a youtube video of her giving a birthday message for me, plus photos of my dj days and some facebook uploads.

this year, it was a creative birthday note.

that she made it with her own hands makes it even more special :)
