coming to you from singapore
i've been here for over a week and it's been an interesting trip so far. i'm staying with my friends caps and her sister charm. they've been based here for a number of years already and i'm pretty lucky because they're both very accommodating and generous, even bringing me along to their family dates with their sister chelo, who's also based here with her husband karl and son darell :)

their flat is in the pasir ris area, which is quite far from the city but i don't mind at all. for one, there is a gorgeous park by the beach just a few minutes walk from their place. i love hanging out in there, just being all zen :) if only i liked jogging, then i would have joined the many joggers who frequent the place. maybe i should give it a try one of these days.
there's also a small mall nearby, plus the mrt station is only two bus stops away, or i can even walk going there because it's not that far. going to the city is no hassle - this is singapore after all and the transport system is just really awesome - and i do that once in a while, just stroll along orchard road and stuff.
my sister lycel is supposed to meet me here but her trip has been pushed back because her work permit in jakarta is currently being renewed and so she's hasn't been able to book a flight yet. i'm still hoping her trip will push through because we haven't seen each other in a while and we have a lot of catching up to do and visualization to accomplish hehe.
since i've been here a while, i missed the awarding ceremonies of the anvil awards, where my entry, internal communications, was honored. it would've been great receiving the award myself, because i can truly say i worked hard for all the employee-related activities which were included in that entry. alas, the awarding was held about five days after i left. just the same, i am very proud of this achievement because this is my third pr-related award in my two years with abs-cbn's corporate communications division.
needless to say, i miss my boys. BIG TIME. bless the people who created skype!
i will be here a while and while i cannot wait to be reunited with mike and sloan, i'm also very thankful for the chance to fulfill something in my bucket list and cross off an item in my to-dos. i'll share more about that later :)

we go online at least once a day to chat. sloan sometimes inspects the back of mike's laptop, just to see if i would be somewhere in there :) lately he's been interested in ironman (after seeing the trailer for the 3rd movie) and he would demonstrate to me how ironman flies. SO CUTE (babe, please take a video!!!). also, he would get mike's ironman and hulk toys, make them fly, then slam them against each other, imitating the way the robots fight in the trailer. understand that this is a big proof of how much mike loves sloan - he actually lets the little one play with his beloved toys, to the point of wrecking them :)
