the breakfast club

breakfast is my favorite meal. apart from being a morning person, i have fond memories of trips to the bakery with my aunt with whom we would spend summer vacations. whenever she heads out to buy pandesal, bitbit niya ko bilang ako pa lang ang gising sa'ming magpipinsan hehe :) then she'd have me choose a bakery treat, and i'd always pick spanish bread because that's my favorite.

meanwhile, mike is night owl. he'd stay up late then wake up 9am or 10am the following day. but ever since sloan came along, he would have no choice but to wake up early because the little one is - weirdly - a combination of us both: a morning person and a night owl!

a few weekends ago, mike did drag himself out of bed quite early to take us out for breakfast. we went to up-ayala technohub, where we had crepes for breakfast, enjoyed the view, and ran around chasing after sloan who was all too excited at the sight of the wide open spaces :)

the next day, we attempted to eat at the newly opened ihop. we got there around 8 and the place was already packed and there was a long queue. we settled for seattle's best then headed to the playground which we had all to ourselves, and so i was able to swing my heart away :) i'll share pictures next time.
