former dj, future ceo: why not!

did you know that abs-cbn big boss gabby lopez (EL3) had a short stint as a radio dj? i'm on my 11th year as an abs-cbn employee and i never knew that until now. i stumbled upon the info as i was working on the company intranet e-Frequency, because we were going to have an EL3 special for his 60th birthday.

during the simple celebration that we had in the abs-cbn compound, EL3 was presented with cakes that had caricatures representing his different interests, and one showed him manning a radio console with headphones on. you'd have to squint to see the details, but i'm referring to the cake at the far left.

being a former dj (for 10 years!), i'm quite fascinated by this info.parang feeling ko may pag-asang maging ceo din ako pagdating ng panahon! hahaha :) aba, e sabi nga ng adidas, impossible is nothing diba! maybe i should observe all my bosses more closely so i'll learn how to get there...

mukha lang akong sira diba :) pasensya na, we had our hands full during EL3's birthday bash and had tasks left and right.

one of the things we did was go around to take photos of the employees with the speech balloons i made. i got the idea from the DIY photo booths in parties abroad and it was a hit among the employees. here's team corp comm posing with the speech balloons. cute no!

and to make up for my awkward photo above, here i am looking somewhat decent with my awesome (and handsome!) boss. happy 60th birthday, EL3!
