ek after a decade

almost ten years after my last visit, i was finally able to set foot in enchanted kingdom once again. my officemate myan was able to score discounted tickets, and since it was my birthday week, we decided we'd go so sloan can also experience what it's like to be in a theme park.

woohoo!

it was raining heavily on the drive to laguna, but i had faith that the skies would clear up and we can enjoy our  ek visit. thankfully, pinagbigyan naman kami :) while it would drizzle every now and then, the weather was overall good, and we were all able to have a good time.

i remember how, some months ago, mike and i were discussing thrill rides and whether or not we could still handle it at our age. yes, aminadong mashonda! :D the last time i was on one was in ocean park in hongkong, where i rode the dragon coaster and the abyss turbo drop. the latter had me yelling all the profanities i've ever known in my entire life as it went up, then had me whimpering like a baby when the final drop happened!

well, mike was able to prove he still has what it takes to get on those rides. nung nasa anchors away,  panay pa ang kaway sa'min ni sloan. it was sloan who got worried about his dad - he was probably bothered by all the screaming - and when he saw mike waving at him while he was on the ride, he started clap his hands on my face, as though saying, "MAKE HIM COME DOOOOOWN!!! RIGHT NOOOOOOW!!!"

mike also went on the space shuttle, the ride which never fails to remind me of sister. that's because the last time i was on the space shuttle, i was with her, and as the ride prepared for its reverse route, she got so scared she started calling out the names of some of our dearly departed relatives! nakakaloka! hahaha!

of course, we also had sloan try out some rides like the carousel and the train. he had fun on both rides but what he enjoyed more was chasing after the bubbles :) we bought a small bottle for 40 bucks, na sobrang sulit naman kasi super habol siya sa kada ihip. tuloy, go pa rin ako kahit nangangalay na yung panga ko :D

sloan also enjoyed the prizes which mike won in the games, especially the inflatable guitar which set us back by only 50 bucks. hindi na rin masama!

it was a fun experience and we promised we'll come back next time. at titiyakin ko nang may kasama kami para maka-career din ako ng rides :P
