go nu!
i went to ust while mike went to up, but we've been rooting for nu in the uaap.
it started a few years ago when we were talking about the uaap and the stark difference between the different teams. like some schools are sponsored by big clothing brands and would get major incentives whenever they'd win a championship, while nu players had worn out shoes and practically no chance at the title.
we felt bad for them because it can be hard to get motivated when you're up against such well-supported teams that even have sensational buses to take them to trainings and games, while you commute via an ordinary bus. nangako kami ni mike na pag yumaman kami, papagawan namin sila ng magandang gym at bibilhan ng mga magagarang sapatos.
pero naunahan kami nila mr. sy. hehehe :) when we heard that the sm owners have acquired nu, we were so happy for the team, especially when they started winning games because they were getting the support they needed.
in this season of the uaap, nu was able to make it back into the final four after 11 long years. syempre lalo pa kaming natuwa :)
nu may not have made it past ust today to go all the way to the finals, but it's still a major achievement and something to be proud of. go nu!
